My Running Story:
I started running after the Boston Marathon bombing. I had always wanted to run, starting and stopping repeatedly throughout the years, but never sticking with it. I found a tribe of women in the area I lived at the time who posted lots of pictures of themselves running races, so eventually I joined in the fun. I ran my first full marathon (and first half marathon) in 2014. I beat my B goal of 6 hours – by 57 seconds. But who’s counting?! I’m tackling my second ever on October 20, 2019. It’s Mount Desert Island, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to beat 6 hours, but I’m better trained and not injured (I had PF last time), so who knows what will happen.
