As a parent, I struggle to keep my daughter away from the screens – the TikTok, the Snapchat, and the latest thing that I don’t even know exists yet. Whatever the unproductive social media scourge that chips away at her individual spirit, I believe can be offset by infusing self-confidence and improvement through physical training. I believe most kids want to be better – they don’t want to waste time in front of the screens. What they are lacking is a pathway to success.
Whether they want to train specifically as a runner or triathlete, or if they are lookin for meaningful cross-training to improve performance in other sports, I’m there for the challenge. Like our adult athletes, we will work with parents to create goals. Then we can create a plan to achieve those goals. Youth and Junior athletes have the additional option for one-on-one or group workouts with Coach Scott at the local gym, or in the great outdoors (weather-permitting).
Coach Scott has earned the Level I Youth and Junior Area of Focus requirement from USA Triathlon and is Safe Sport Certified.
